"From July 1st, 2017, Zunyi Railway Station has been renamed to Zunyi West Railway Station and Zunyi South Railway Station has been renamed to Nanguanzhen Railway Station", News from Zunyi Daily stated.
"Zunyi Railway Station will be entitled to the new station which is located in Yancun Village in Xinpu New District once Chongqing-Guiyang (Yugui) High Speed Railway put into business operation and Zunyi South Railway Station will be given to the one located in Goujiang Town of Bozhou District."
Built in 1965, the former Zunyi Railway Station, or now called Zunyi West Railway Station locates on Beijing Road, Honghuagang District. It is now the largest passenger railway station in Zunyi City with an annual passenger volume of 2.2 million. It has 28 daily departures running for Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Ningbo, Kunming, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guiyang and etc. While the former Zunyi South Railway Station or now called Nanguanzhen Station, located in Zhoushuiqiao of Honghuagang District, is a goods station.
